About Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is a form of holistic complementary therapy which can be performed through massage.
Essential oils are used in aromatherapy massage and have emotional and physical benefits on the body. It has been shown to be effective not only in the treatment of stress-related conditions, but also with muscular, circulatory, respiratory, digestive and skin problems.
Mother nature has given us so many tools to help heal and take care of our bodies and that is why I am so passionate about aromatherapy and its benefits. The olfactory system (sense of smell) can help to provoke positive memories, thoughts and motivate decision making. Not only can aromatherapy help through our sense of smell it can also be applied topically onto the skin in fact, the effect of aromatherapy can be experienced through many mediums including massage, friction, inhalation, compress and baths.
Aromatherapy Treatments
My Process
During an aromatherapy treatment with me, there will be a consultation process where we will discuss any health problems which may be a contraindication to the massage and choose essential oils together accordingly. As it is a holistic form of treatment, I will look at the body as a whole. I will take into account not only the symptoms of my client but their lifestyle and any other conditions that may be related to the initial problem.
